A garnet-red wine with purple hues, a finely aromatic bouquet, and a distinctive flavor of fresh, soft, velvety, and sweet fruit. Produced in a small area encompassing the municipalities of Gradoli, Grotte di Castro, San Lorenzo Nuovo, and Latera, overlooking Lake Bolsena in the province of Viterbo. This is a sweet, fortified red wine perfect for after-dinner drinking. Ideal with tozzetti (typical biscuits) and jam tarts. Serve in small glasses at 15°-16°C (59°-61°F).
